About

ReplicatED is an educational project focusing on the use of the replication of quantitative analyses in statistics and quantitative methods curricula. The primary goal is to make replication accessible to students and statistics instructors at various levels of schooling and to increase statistical and scientific literacy.

replicatED Database

The replicatED project contains a free educational database aimed at instructors of statistics or quantitative research methods courses, educational experts, students, or those who simply wish to practice statistics. It contains peer-reviewed journal articles and their publicly available corresponding datasets.

The replicatED database enables users to search the datasets by a specific statistical technique and practice statistical analyses at a wide range of statistical skills. In the classrooms, instructors and students can incorporate replication assignments as a way to increase statistical literacy, engage with real life research problems, and deepen their understanding of scientific practice. At the moment the replicatED database contains a wide range of topics in environmental sciences, social sciences, and public health.

ReplicatED database allows users to add new datasets and journal articles and help us grow resources for:

What You Can Do

Statistics Practice

If you are an instructor, beginner or an advanced student of quantitative methods, replicatED database provides resources to improve your skills and understanding of statistical techniques and research design.

Search the database, choose the type of statistical analysis you wish to practice, and download the data. The replicatED database contains information on the specific table or graph you can replicate.

Teaching Resources

The replicatED project offers free samples of teaching materials to help instructors design their own replication assignments and incorporate replication of quantitative analyses into the curriculum. Instructors can choose from introductory modules, suitable for upper level high school or lower undergraduate classes, to more intermediate and advanced modules.

Workshops

The replicatED project organizes workshops on how to effectively incorporate replication into specific courses or wider quantitative methods curricula in high schools or at universities. Check out our Events page for our latest workshops.
